Hi, in relation to the PAYG Payment summary - With the new slot that asks on the Payment Summary 'Is the employer exempt from FBT under section 57A of the FBTAA 1986?' How do we tick a 'No' or a 'Yes' here. Kindly advise as soon as possible. Thanks.

You need to go back into the setup of the payroll item and as you do that it will ask whether the FBT is Tax exempt of not, you just need to choose the right one and it will change the NO to YES2

Ife. If you are not exempt, the No box will be selected automatically as per the note in the actual setup for the Reportable Fringe Benefits payroll item. Refer to the following link on the ATO website for further information for those employers who might have to say YES I don't know how YES is able to be input.:

In the tax tracking type of the payroll item choose Reportable Fringe Benefits (Tax Exempt). In the test below is the explanation ( is the employer exempt from FBT Under section 57A of the FBTAA 1986? ) Will have yes selected Hope this helps Regards Heather1
