When entering 7.5 hours for one day of unworked public holiday time, does leave accrue on this public holiday time?

I believe it does, but there are a number of variables including how leave is accrued overall. If leave is accrued weekly or by pay period it will be included - if accrued per hour worked it won’t be. It is very confusing0

Unless the specific Award or Agreement states otherwise, if a public holiday falls on an employee’s usual work day, they are entitled to pay AND leave accruals - regardless of accrual method! - equivalent to their usual work day.
I find it’s best practice to set all Leave accruals to “Per hour” as this also eliminates any leave (accrual or payment of) issues regarding part-time/flexibility arrangements.
