Unable to activate Personal Accounts 2017

Trying to activate my product - I have a valid activation key but it keeps saying its "unable to complete activation process using the Internet"  Would you like to talk to a representative by telephone = only problem is the Customer Support is closed as they only service the east cost with hours of 8am to 6pm - that's 5am to 3pm in Perth

I thought that I had the same issue until I realised that I was trying to use my 2016 Activation Key. I went to the members area and grabbed my 2017 key and all was well.

Thanks Michael - that was the issue - would have been great if there was some sort of customer service at 5pm EST to explain that - or better still some sort of error message explaining that.

Feel like kicking myself - was using 2018 key duh!
