Can't convert Cashflow v8 to PP 2016 because of missing qd3.dll file

Cannot convert Cashbook V8 files to Home and Business 2016. I get the following message.  " Unable to load DLL: C:\Program Files\Quicken\convert03\qd3.dll
Required dlls for converting your data file is missing"

You should change the subject line to explain the issue please  (ie:  can't convert Cashflow v8 to PP 2016 because of missing qd3.dll file".

Anyway to your issue.

Refer to page 12 of the PP2016 installation guide at:
http://downloads.reckon.com.au/2016_ReckonAccounts_IAUG.pdf

You'll see that the migration path for such asn old version,  needs to be first passed via the Cashflow 2004 product as an intermediary step, and then further converted from that output,  into PP2016.

The older product "Cashbook V8" would need to go through a specific upgrade path as indicated in the Installation and Upgrade Guide.

Recommend that you review that article for more details about changes from 2003 to the newer versions.

In the section Determine Your Upgrade Path it indicates that for that error, the file would need to go through an intermediate step from CashBooks V8 to CashBook 2004 then to Home and Business 2005/06 before you go to a more recent version of Home & Business
