Candace_10202602
Have opened reckon this morning to find it is bring up a really old backup file. Wondering the easiest way to search for the lastest copy of the company file. I update the company data each Friday.

I would just sort the folder by date and look at the one on top. What do you mean you update the company data every Friday? Do you mean you bring the file up to date with the past week’s transactions? If you also backup after entering data that will be in the B Drive and would have to be restored to the Q drive, but the current data file should already be in the q drive

Ok I have to say that I use Reckon Hosted, is your Accounts Plus online?

Can I ask why you are going into the backup file? The data file should open when you open Reckon Accounts Plus 2019. Happy to talk if you want to contact me.

Hi Candace, you need to provide clarity as to whether you are:
a) Looking for a backup file (QBB)
b) Looking for a company data file (QBW)
Open the Reckon Accounts software.
Click on the
File
menu and select
Close Company
You should now see the
No Company Open
screen.
There you will see a listing of the data files that have been recently opened.
For each file, if you select its name it will also display the current location of that data file.
How many files are in the list?
Are they similarly or identically named?
Do they reside in the same locations?
Alternatively, search your computer using the built-in Windows search function.

Hi,
Thanks for this information however it is still only showing me an old data file dated back to end of May when I have in actual fact reconciled and updated to the end of July. Any other tips of how to find my latest file?
Thanks
