Huge issues with restoring backed-up data

We ceased purchasing upgrades after the acquisition of Reckon
Accounts 2018, having been a long-time user of QuickBooks/Reckon products. I was told at the time that if we ever needed to access data it would be possible, as long as no changes were required in the process.
We recently purchased a floppy disc drive to enable access of some VERY old data (2003). Today I’ve had great help from Technical Support who got me to a certain point, including sending a trial version of 2007-08 with an acquisition code. That worked fine to a point, then no further.
I called Technical Support again, to be told I don’t qualify for their help .. and to ask the Community! So .. here I am!!
I’ve just reinstalled that program, as an error message had come up which I then lost and forgot. That error message is ...

Can anyone help me further? I'll be extremely grateful for ANY help. I've spent ALL morning on this .. and feel it's been thoroughly wasted. I'm running out of time for this particular "project" to be completed, for which the data is required.
I should add that this was the window that came up before the step above:

If you are restoring the file it should be a qbb, otherwise just try to open the qbw file. If you wanted to send me your file I have multiple versions to try1

I am guessing the original data back up file is an old version 7 or 8.4 for QuickBooks?
If it is then the message you are getting, could be because you need to upgrade to 2002 version before going to the 2007/08 version.
If you have kept upgrading each year since the start, then it could be:
I have seen where installing 07/08 version in Windows 10, it does not work well, even if have to enable backward compatibility.
Installing on Windows 7 did not help.
I ended up loading 07/08 onto an old XP computer then could restore the data fine and upgrade.

Thank you Kris. How can I do that? The data I'm wanting to access is currently on a floppy.0

It was the guy from IT Support (who apparently shouldn't have been helping me!!!!) who said I needed to start with 2007/08 and step up to 2018. He said nothing about needing to start earlier.

If the file is on a floppy disk you should be able to email it to me

Hi Margot,
Your data file is in the QuickBooks V8.0 format.
You need to upgrade that file from QuickBooks V8.0 to QuickBooks 2002 (V9).
Then from QuickBooks 2002 (V9) to QuickBooks 2007/08.
Here is the link where you can download the older versions.
