WHAT VERSION OF RECKON SHOULD I USE????
Currently using Reckon Accounts Hosted which is great, but needing to set up another business so I need a completely new version of Reckon and want to know what version of Reckon you would recommend I use. I want to be able to use ABA files and CSV files for both bills and payroll etc... I use a particular software program for the business and the software company has advised the program is currently set up to export using Reckon Cloud or Reckon Desktop. is this different to Accounts hosed. I really have no idea where to start. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kelly
You can set up a new Company using RECKON RECKON ACCOUNTS HOSTED at no additional cost.
As you are familiar with the program this would be my recommendation
You can contact us info@erbbookkeeping.com.au.

Beatrice.

You can keep them totally separate by putting passwords on the files, and yes aba and csv ok. You should be able to see that in the company you already have setup0

Thankyou Kris for coming back to me. Ive never used the csv or the aba in my current company files that is why im asking. Ive been looking into it today and its looking as if I need to map the fields first and before I can upload the csv files. Is this something you do at your end? could you give me more info??

Whereabouts are you located Beatrice. Would be interested in having someone local come out and show me how to get the most our of Reckon.0 -
I usually export a PDF or excel file, but I just tested it and exported a csv file, no different, nothing to do except download to computer. I just downloaded it to the ipad from the Q drive and opened it0

Thanks Kris. Im actually wanting to import a CSV file. I was able to import into Reckon and found where it is located but have no idea how to get the data then into an invoice. Do you do something similiar with importing

Reckon Accounts Desktop/Hosted will only import transactions that are in a specific plain-text tab-delimited format called "IIF". It will not import a CSV.
You will need to transform that CSV into the IIF format.
Example:
Creating an IIF would require some familiarity with text file manipulation.
The in-product Help has information about the IIF file format.
Consider also the use of 3rd party software tools that can assist with the transformation of CSV data into a compatible IIF format or direct integration with the Reckon Account software.
