Ctrl X Not Changing Between Accounts

Changing between accounts using Ctrl X. It works on files that were created years ago but does not work on a file created earlier this year. Ctrl X on the new file deletes the information highlighted. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem?

Currently have Reckon Home and Business 2022 Release R 1
