STP Error on lodging file - "Instance.EmployeeData[8].Detail.Email is not of any [subschema 0]

When trying to lodge STP file I get the error "Instance.EmployeeData[8].Detail.Email is not any of [subschema 0],[Subschema 1]"
I have looked through some FAQs and they say to go to employee 8 and enter the email address. But they already have an email address which is correct. I have tried deleting it and re entering but nothing is working?? HELP......

    Hi Simone,
    The error message is a tad misleading, its actually 'number +1' for the employee that you need to check. So in this case, its the 9th employee in the STP list that needs to be checked.
    Please ensure they have a valid email address without any invalid characters and also no spaces before or after their email address.

    Not all employees have email addresses....  What happens then?  This is my error message.image
