I couldn't install Reckon Accounts 2017 or 2019 on Windows 10

Hi there,

I hope you can help.

I got a fresh installed Windows 10 computer. I tried install Reckon Accounts 2017 or 2019. It having trouble to install Microsoft Runtime Library and returned with
"the installation was interrupted before Reckon Accounts could be installed". I have tried in safe mode (generated Error 1601 message as it could not run the installer (vcredist_x86.exe) in safe mode), tried ran as Administrator and tried login as local admin (this PC is on domain network). I have also downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2012 both x86 and x64 manually but made no difference.

Please advise.

I have tried that hot fix but it didn't work.

Reboot computer open nothing at all before you to install.

Check .NET 3.5 is installed. It's a Windows component not installed by default. Needs to be installed manually via Programs & Features.
