Not Responding....can't open Files

When I try to open the program it will not open my accounting file. When I click on "File" a message comes up "File not responding". Task manager showing 30%CPU.
An error message had come up about a corrupt file previously. To get out of that message I clicked OK and the program appeared to work properly for that session. Since closing that session I have not been able to reopen files. (I run two company files).
Any help or advice would be appreciated....I don't know what to do!

Which edition of the Reckon Personal Range software are you using which this issue occurs on?
An error message had come up about a corrupt file previously.
Can you give us a bit more info around the above specifically. Where was this message appearing? ie. when you attempted to open the file, working in the file, performing a certain task/activity in the file etc?
Are both of your files not opening or just a particular one?
Does the Sample File open successfully?

Hello Rav,
I have been working on this all morning and may have solved it by opening an earlier backup file. I did manage to get some screenshots of error messages but for now I think I will continue working on it and seeing if there are any further problems. I will let you know.
